British superbike manufacturer Triumph Motorcycles said on Tuesday that it has launched a new Street Scrambler in India, priced at 935,000 rupees (excluding showroom). Reservations for new motorcycles also begin today.

Equipped with 900cc, liquid-cooled, 8-valve, parallel twin engines, the bicycle can produce a maximum power of 65 PS at 7,250 rpm and 80 Nm at 3,250 rpm. The electric motor is used in conjunction with a five-speed manual gearbox. The top speed of the bicycle is 130 km/h.

The 2021 Triumph Street Scrambler is supported by a tubular steel frame with double cradles. It is located on the 19-inch front wheel and the 17-inch rear wheel. Like its Scrambler nickname, motorcycles have spoke wheels. The suspension task is handled by a 41mm front fork, with cartridge damping at the front and dual shock absorbers with adjustable preload at the rear. Both units have a stroke of 120 mm.

The braking force of the new Street Scrambler comes from a single 310mm floating disc brake with Brembo 4 piston fixed axial calipers at the front and a 255mm disc brake with Nissin 2 piston floating calipers at the rear. The bicycle is equipped with double ABS for smooth riding.

The seat height of the 2021 Triumph Street Scrambler is 790 mm and the wheelbase is 1,445 mm. The bicycle has a dry weight of 223 kg and a fuel tank capacity of 12 liters. According to Triumph, it can travel 100 kilometers on 4.3 liters of fuel.

Other features include three riding modes-road, rain and off-road. The road and rain modes adjust the throttle map and traction control, while the off-road mode turns off ABS and traction control to get a better riding experience on loose roads.

The bicycle is also equipped with a torque assist clutch, a unique LED tail light, a USB charger and an anti-theft device. Switchable ABS and switchable traction control are standard on bicycles.

The bike can be personalized with the help of 120 authentic accessories. It will be available in single-color Jet Black or Urban Grey, or double matte khaki and matte ironstone paint.
