district of Bergamo, that of Malpensata, which has found new life in recent years, thanks to the interventions desired by the municipal administration and the contribution of the citizens."The value of the commitment of the individual and of the community was really fundamental to change the face of the neighborhood - says Oriana Ruzzini, PD councilor, who has always been the soul of his territory - and I must say that the many initiatives that we have managed to implement they are the result of the commitment of the administration and also of the will of each of us who, personally, has spent himself in improving the quality of life and services of the place we live every day.A collective work built with dedication and attention over time ".Entering into the merits of the redevelopment, Ruzzini explains how "the building of the former ice rink is now in the home straight, the company is finishing the facilities and delivery will take place approximately in June and work is underway to build the tender for the management.This project will merge with the one called Benpensata, that is the former gate, on which a six-year contract is envisaged, with the municipality committed to carrying out two checks a year to check that the obligations are respected ”.On the park chapter, which should have approximately a similar size to that of via Suardi, she explains: “It will be enlarged by half of the parking area currently present.And it wants to be an area dedicated to the neighborhood that aims to encourage the major issues of socialization and aggregation, integration, relationships and initiatives with the neighborhood.The opening and closing will be the prerogative of a guardian who will also aim to take care of the area and enhance the green.The park will be open to citizens in both summer and winter, until 6pm in the coldest season and around 9pm in the hottest one.The staff will be hired by the cooperative that is in charge of the tender and the estimated budget is 660 thousand euros for a total time frame of 6 years ".To give a new face to the green, the administration has also planned a series of meetings with citizens, to better understand the requests and needs of a neighborhood that boasts almost 5,000 inhabitants: "Obviously, before any type of intervention, a reclamation of the affected area because, not everyone knows, once there was a cemetery in the square.Then there will be the de-paving and from then on all the projects agreed with the inhabitants will come to life, among which, we hope the preparation of new games for children and new sports equipment ".A neighborhood that thrives on integrationThe theme of integration is one of the big issues that drives the neighborhood's initiatives.A theme that is never underestimated, not even when it comes to safety, but the opposite, increased to make it an added value: “We don't hide behind a finger.We know perfectly well what the problems of our neighborhood are.But we have chosen to try to solve them by following the path of sharing, acceptance and involvement in the city fabric of the many diversities that represent a part of the population.Excluding does not lead to anything, otherwise, including makes a difference.We also saw it on the initiatives brought to Christmas, when we chose to make the tree all together and prepare the gifts to give, we chose it when we decided to set up the network of volunteers who take care of the management of the park, originally born thanks to the contribution of the QuxQu association, to date about thirty, the same share of citizens who take care of the public green, or, again, when we involved three guys from the Patronato, with whom a good friendship was born .There are many examples that could be given, but the basic concept always remains the same.Of course, it is not easy to make interculturality a hint and a way of everyday life, but we try ”.And the schools are a model of this, from the kindergarten, to the nursery that we hope will be renovated thanks to funds from the PNRR, up to the middle schools of the Mazzi district, with the musical direction that is the flagship: "Classes arrive to have even 15-16 different nationalities.They are small micro worlds that present many different cultures and religions.In this case we can truly speak of integration and multi-culture.I live it firsthand, with my children, who attend the neighborhood schools ”."The issues of traffic are also important, also to try to give a new face to the neighborhood, both incoming and outgoing, and to try to limit or at least contain the huge flow of vehicles that run along Via Zanica, for which there would like to have a limited Zone30, and via Carnovali.For this reason, the administration has chosen to marry some important projects from a traffic point of view such as the creation of the roundabout on via Autostrada, a project worth 1.5 million euros.The Department of Public Works is ready to start the construction site, it is only waiting for the clearance from the motorway company.Other significant works are then the walkway that connects the neighborhood with the countryside for 800 thousand euros, the roundabout on the ring road for another 900 thousand.In the gasometer operation, the move of the market to via Spino and the intervention of the new multifunctional center in place of the ice rink, an intervention worth 2 million, must also be considered ”.“We will take the bees to Malpensata.Specifically, it is the BeepathNet Reloaded
