V-Pack is a PTFE stem sealing system that does not require elastomer (HNBR/EPDM/MFQ, FFKM) O-rings, which means that the valve is suitable for a variety of chemicals. The result is a single valve suitable for many different applications without having to consider replacing the elastomer O-ring stem seal. Removing the elastomer O-ring stem seal also has the benefit of increasing the valve temperature range (-40°C to 180°C). The performance of the V-Pack has been tested for fugitive emissions in accordance with ISO 15848-1, covering external leakage of valve stem and valve body joints used for volatile air pollutants and hazardous fluids. This new option is available for Bonomi's Valpres series of wafer, wafer and split carbon steel and stainless steel ball valves. Valve seals play a vital role in minimizing the release of toxic, harmful gases/liquids and volatile compounds into the environment. V-Pack has been SIL3 tested, suitable for applications that require a high degree of risk reduction, and has passed ISO 10497 fire protection certification.
